I wish I knew how to operate my digital camera and could post pictures I took this morning
of the 18 - 24 inches of snow we have been blessed with. It really is a beautiful sight if you do not have to drive on the roads! The Lord is good all the time....all the time the Lord is good!

Pictures of spoiling the grandchildren the old fashion way in August & September

For those of you who are grandparents....you will understand, when I say, I have the most awesome grandchildren in the world!
It is so much fun watching my grandchildren use their imaginations and oh how much fun they had doing outdoors/old fashion "stuff" - everything from collecting rocks to climbing trees and lots of neat things in between.

What a wonderful two weeks in Colorado!

I have a smile on my face every time I think of my trip to Paonia, Colorado to visit my daughter Kim and her family.
What did I do while there............went on walks with Katie and Hunter, made a dragon cake with Katie and Hunter, used my imagination to tell stories, picked fresh nectarines, helped Kim cut corn off the cob for the freezer, went wild mushroom hunting, stayed up late most nights laughing and reminiscing with Kim, played Yahtzee with Mike and Kim, played hide and go seek, watched Katie and Hunter have an egg hunt, went to a dinosaur museum, took Katie and Hunter to playgrounds and had picnic suppers, played old maid and candy land games, did projects, listened to Katie play the piano, went to Katie's first horseback riding lesson, watched Hunter use his imagination with dinosaurs, collected rocks with Katie & Hunter to use at VBS and I was Duke, the dog puppet for a VBS skit, Hunter & I guarded the ice cream machine while homemade ice cream was being made, read stories and was read to by Katie Joy, went to church on Sundays and Wednesdays and received wonderful hugs and greetings from Kim and Mike's church family, helped with baths and gave Hunter and Katie airplane rides using bath towels, went to Katie's soccer practices and first soccer game, babysat while MaMa and Daddy went hunting for bear and elk, hung laundry on the clothes line with a beautiful view of Lamb Born Mountain in front of me, while kids, chickens, Oreo and Drake played and enjoyed the fresh air around me, watched as Hunter and Katie went from one end of the swing set to the other end without touching their feet to the ground, and oh so much more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sayler Family Facing the Sun

I am at my favorite daughter's house (Kim's :), and she is helping me create my very own blog page. Since I've arrived in Colorado I've had very little sleep. My daughter has kept me up far too late each night! But what a good time we've had. Last night she had me preparing 17 dozen ears of corn for the freezer. We have also gone on an unsuccessful mushroom hunt, although we did have a good time cooking hot dogs over an open fire. Mike and Kim saw a black bear. Katie and Mike saw a fawn, and we all saw some big Mule deer bucks. My grandchildren have kept me very busy making a dragon cake, painting rocks, going for walks, and entertaining me with their singing and otherwise witty ways! (Kim is writing some this for me because I am brain dead - we're going to try to get to bed before midnight tonight!) Here are a few pictures of my trip so far.
